As Albert Einstein said, “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” As we heal our lives, we are transforming energy. As we transform energy we affect the generations before and after us. We can be the one that heals our bloodline by breaking the inheritance of old wounds of unfinished soul contracts and Karma reaped during life. Ancestor wounds are passed from generation to generation through DNA; this is called epigenetics.

 

An experiment with nematodes has given us a better understanding of how we pass things on to other generations, and how ancestral wounds can be passed on to us. Scientists from the European molecular biology organization (EMBO) in Spain did an experiment with nematodes. What they discovered in their study is that the nematodes retained a memory that was passed on to their offspring for seven generations. It has taken scientists entire lifetimes to prove this theory. It shows that epigenetics is possible.

We carry more than eye color or personality quirks from our ancestors. Science now confirms what many spiritual traditions have always known: unhealed trauma, unresolved stories, and energetic imprints can pass through generations.

We essentially heal our future too, by helping future generations in their journeys when we become ancestors.
